Grammy Requirements for Session Files

If you're only doing a single, you still should use these formats. In the event you win a Grammy award, everyone involved in the production of the song should be credited. Missing credits for the song, could be a "red flag" to them.

You need to provide all META data for the song, such as Artist, Producer, Publisher, Artwork creator, copyright info, track number (if on an album), name of album (if any), date of release. Much of that will be placed in your files during the mastering process. These are stored inside the audio file(s). If you have ISRC numbers, provide those, also. A list of performers should also be included. Give credit where credit is due.

When contracting with us for production, we are the producer, engineer. If you also hire us as a publisher, we can acquire ISRC codes, which cost about $2.00 per track (song). For albums, you'll also want a UPC/EAN for the album, which are currently $49 each. If you are planning to distribute via DistroKid, they will assign ISRC and UPC codes.

When ready, you can upload the entire tree (as a zip or other compressed format) then we can recreate the tree on our work drive. When project is complete, we will return the entire tree as a zip file or rar file. If you need a different format, let us know.
